Would be good to have an option to change flashbang effect from white to black. Same vision disruption without pain in the eyes

Well, i mean it doesn't hurt. But it feels like sitting a whole hour in the dark and then suddenly getting a white flash, i think this is bad for your eyes

Get an ambient light behind your monitor. Maybe a desk lamp facing the wall behind your monitor just to lighten up your surrounding. Bright flashes won't affect your eyes as much because they won't have to adjust nearly as much.

As someone mentioned, try the application f.lux, it applies a yellow tint filter to your screen to block some of the blue light emitted by your monitor which causes eye strain.

Your monitor might already have a yellow filter preset depending on the model of it.

Alternatively, you could buy "gaming glasses" - Normal glasses with slight yellow tinted plastic or glass to block blue light.

It hurts my eyes too, but instead of lowering the brightness lower your contrast, on your monitor or in your gpu settings, see if that helps.

I just wanted to apologise for my first response, i was trying to be funny. But you have a serious issue here which is a potential health threat. The problem is that the suggestions you've received thus far aren't very enlightened (such as: turn the brightness down or wear gaming sunglasses etc, they're not going to solve your problem). I suspect that the issue is deeper than that. Search deep inside, and think about why a sudden flash of light might cause you trauma... yes... that's right, it was that time you got flash-banged (then gang-banged) in real life (in the Aenus). You're welcome.

I got flashed in the street by an old man once. I got traumatised and my eyes still hurt to this day, 17 years on :/

Hmmm, interesting... i wonder if the degree of trauma would have been lessened if you were flashed by an attractive young man instead (like Taylor Lautner during that Twilight scene where he was shirtless and a bunch of Team Edward fans instantly switched to Team Jacob... and yes, we all know the scene i'm talking about... damn he was sexy, yes, oh yes OHHH YESSS WOLF BOY DEVOUR ME!!... no ♥♥♥♥).

Well f*** you. All I saw was "Twilight" and now ive gotta watch all of them again.

A lot of guys dismissed the Twilight series because they felt it was targeted at a largely female demographic. But the fact that it was so deeply and phenomenally popular with females means there's a blue print encoded in the story that unlocks what and how females think on an instinctive level. It's for that reason that i re-watched that shirtless Jacob scene countless times on YouTube.

Nah you deserve a 30m swimming medal for your ability to drag a single point into a whole random ass paragraph.

That's how you know they are working.

thats the point of a white screen and flashes, flashes hurts the eyes irl and are a reason why its used in video games to blind the target so you can get the kill, changing brightness wont do anything unless you make your whole screen so dark that you shouldnt be playing games.

ps hint turn away when you hear a flash, also dont play in the dark with white thats a major issue due to the blue filter or something like that plus you should be using blue filtering glasses its better to use glasses then that stupid flux program, hell windows ten has the screen adjust setting now so no need for flux

Get 3M monitor filter if the white radiation is high.

For twilight, although very few, there are guys like that in real life. They are like an outlaw, they never panic, they got everything together. They just chill. It's seriously attractive when guys chill. Unfortunately most were already taken. :erune:
