Flashbangs not working?

I just finished a game where I flashbanged a guy twice and he ended up killing me instantly despite the fact that he should either have a white screen or have turned around to stop it. Is there something I'm missing or is he hacking?

Just another possible reason to OP's situation, not saying it's true though which is why I said, "We don't know" and agreed with your post about watching the demo.

I mean, he had insane aim and shot me the exact moment I walked out of cover or through smoke. But I understand there's a lot of things everyone else knows about this game and I have no clue how to learn them so maybe it's just cause I'm new. It'd be a lot easier if this game had kill cams.

easier if you just shoot the flash in mid air it bounces back to them for counter-flash

Watched the replay and yeah, dude's aiming too well after being flashed. Also csgo replay watcher is straight up unusable, how do people actually use this thing?

There are many reasons for it. Maybe your flash was too high or behind him. Maybe he was blind and hit a lucky blind-shot or he turned away. And if you think turning away is that hard watch this:

You don't have to make a full 180 to avoid a flash, you just have to look to left, listen for the *bang*, and then look back. He probably did that.

Just open the console. Type in demoui for the demo menu. You can close it while pressing the X and switch through the player. When you have the demoui open this doesn't work. You can see your mouse when it's open but sometimes the mouse is hidden. It isn't hard to find the mouse again.

The csgo demo system is incredible good. Just don't give up after 10 seconds.

Yes, but a good replay system would have a native button to swap between players and you can actually see your mouse. I don't want to have to struggle with finding my mouse, especially not from such a large company's flagship game. But ♥♥♥♥ me right? Cause I'm just some new player and we shouldn't be allowed to enjoy CSGO

Uhm so you really cry because of such tiny things? This also gets way too offtopic. You only look for excuses for your lack of interest. Handling the demos is sooooo sooo easy. But yeah, "finding the mouse when demoui is activated is hard" lul <.< This happens in many programs and when you can't find your cursor then you learn your cursor/mousemovement better.
