On a slightly off topic note: I am surprised Shadow Daggers: Fade are like $130... I spectated a game where my friend was vs a cheater with 6k hours and Shadow Daggers Fade and was like, "Wow really?" Then looked them up out of curiosity to see how much he'd lose. Was shocked.
Spoiler:He is now banned with them locked into his inventory.
In the West, it is actually cool to own a knife. Most have a knife to play with in real life, which is why the butterfly knife is twice as expensive. It is recognized and loved by many.
The shadow daggers, in this sense does feels like a plastic or butt plug. For the East, or Asia - it is ok to use any knife as long as the design is different. They don't usually own a knife in real life, so it's all computer graphics animation.
Pros and cons - If your culture trend is to appreciate only a design, the shadow daggers can be your best choice. It is cheap too. If your culture trend is about owning a cool knife, it's going to be expensive on pixels too.
I have a default looking knife and a bowie knife and im asian :>
Edit: was given to me by my grandfather
Easier to carry and hide because of size
You dont stab you punch with it so your enemy will be having a hard time dodging punches
