Where to find skin files in CSGO folders?

I don't know exactly how to word this, but I have a skin I want to put on a gun which isn't in the game. I want to find the folders where the skins are and insert it there, note I know I have to be playing with bots to see them.

So I assume you want to find skin files to replace with csgo weapon mods in other games (probably cs source or 1.6). They are locked for general access in game file, so dont even bother.

nope, just looking to make some skins. I've seen that you can change the bomb model and I assume you can do the same for custom skins

You can use skin changers, they just get you a vac ban.

Volvo anti cheat scans for game signatures to detect cheats (and thats why it doesn't work as some of you would like it to do)
You can't get vac banned for changing csgo files, because it doesn't change signatures
Sv_pure 1 is the command that would block you from joining any server with it, so you can play with you diamond pickaxe in sv_pure 0

A bit late on the reply.
Also its already a fact that changing game files wont result in VAC banned. I did it tons of times, even made a guide for panorama showcase, even did lots of mods on official maps and custom maps. However, weapon is a different property, only stock weapons can use skins, custom weapons cannot.

you could theoretically change a community made skin file with your own and start the game in insecure mode and go onto a workshop map close the game delete the file or change it back yourself, search for missing files to downloade the skin file you deleted and it should be fine. " !!! if you ♥♥♥♥ up somehow you can still get VACed !!! "

did it once to view a usp-s i made ingame ( i recomend watching a video about it i could remember wrong or i missed something )
