Are all workshop maps safe?
Hi recently I downloaded a csgo workshop map for more context it’s this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=308490450. I am aware that some workshop maps may contain some sort of virus, so I wanted to clarify if this is safe? Sounds stupid but I haven’t used steam in over a few months now, so I’m basically paranoid about a bunch of stuff thanks in advance

No workshop maps contain viruses. That's as silly as saying a jpg or txt can contain them.

The worst that could happen, that it would alter the gamefiles that much that you would have to consider a reinstall.

It can but only if process by a program. As it is only a image it can be looked at safely.

Also a workshop map can't do anything outside the games abilities. Altering system files is not possible.

They do, if it got reported. If you are still unsure on whenever to download or not, choose a popular map.

But can’t some sort of scam posts just get bots to mass like their stuff? Seen these stuff before on team fortress 2. Either ways you have helped me a lot thanks a bunch. Hopefully the website that I downloaded was safe haha. Paranoia sucks...
