All cheats are detected at one point. Valve just doesn’t use 3rd-party anti cheats because they don’t like intrusive anti cheats and no false bans

Well, there are at least 6 that were never detected, and 1 of them is being sold since 2014

I just saw someone put in chat unityhacks so i had to go and check it out and see for myself. sure enough, the forum is blasted with people talking that ♥♥♥♥ up for csgo and pubg

i think sometimes valve dont care anymore about cheating they just make lot money i have in every match cheaters

I honestly don't think valve can solve cheating without an intrusive anti-cheat. Unless that happens there will always be an abundance of cheaters running about in MM. For the past almost 2 months, every single game I've played, be it wingman, comp or casual has had at least 1 cheater, usually more, and I play in prime. I'm not gonna say the game is dead either, because it's not, there's just the massive tumor hanging on the back of the game that is cheaters, and Valve just doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about it.

Can't they just buy all the cheats out there themselves and reverse engineer or grab the source code or whatever it is they have to do to be able to easily identify processes on other peoples computers. doesn't valve already scan your processes?
not a computer wiz so forgive bad ideas if doesn't make sense lol

It's not that easy

most of the cheat providers either protect their software from reverse engineering really hard or give you special version that is different from others so VAC won't catch all of them.

Valve spent milions on developing VACNet, if there was cheaper and easier solution to catch cheaters they would go with it instead

The way the really expensive cheats operate is by streaming you a different scrambled version every time you use it. That way a signature is harder to nail down.

VAC still catches them often, just not weekly like free cheats. More like monthly for cheap paid ones and annually for expensive paid ones.

And they don't always care to actually get a signature on the cheat or injector. They nailed like 90% of paid cheats a while back detecting website signatures in the DNS cache of people who streamed cheats.

But they do want to be as certain as possible.
