CSS vs CSGO - A simple question
Why is it that I can log on counter-strike source, and my aim feels very crisp, very quick, very clean, it feels snappy, responsive, accurate.
But I go on csgo, with the same exact sens dpi etc, the only real difference being 40-80 fps (css is stable at 250 csgo is stable at 160-180 depending on the map) and it feels weighted, slower, inaccurate somehow

Its difficult to explain, maybe it's just me but I genuinely feel like I'm very hyper-active in my aiming in css and im rewarded for it, but in csgo I feel like im sluggish

Screen tearing or something?

Also CS:S have much bigger hitboxes and guns are much more accurate so shots that would miss in CSGO would hit perfectly fine in CS:S so maybe it's just placebo and you think you are better in CS:S when in fact it's CS:S mechanics making you "better"

Nah, in counter-strike source, I am strictly head-shot only, same as in csgo. My crosshairmovement in general feels very 1:1 and very native in css, but in csgo I feel like I cannot be confident whatsoever in how I move my mouse, despite having played it since 2013, there's just weird quirks in how I feel I have to aim vs css...It feels like csgo's aiming is somehow slower

Sens 2.2 zoom sens 1.2 dpi 400, res 1024x768 on both games

mouse sens, mouse accel, different model proportions, etc.

css got bigger hitboxes and easier recoil etc, its just easier. csgo harder so your aim is off

CSS hit boxes are bigger than player model
CSGO hitboxes are slightly smaller than player model

The head for both css and csgo is pretty similar and once again I play more for headshots than anything i have about 80% ratio in css and 40-60 in csgo

CSS skill cap is lower than CSGO due to bad hitboxes, weird recoil system and movement.
CSGO is mainly the other way around.

The size of the head in css and csgo is a matter of a few pixels. Typically when you shoot someone in the head you're not aiming to graze their ear (which wont hit the headshot hitbox for either game btw)

CSS has weird movement and recoil system?
Bro, css is consistant, csgo is random. CSS was a tournament-based game, csgo is catering to both scenes
CSS had a vision in mind
CSGO has been changing since day 1 to the extreme constantly with horrible tournament timings.

If you genuinely think CSS is weird, you haven't touched 1.6 in your life. CS1.6 was "wierder" than both of them with ur logic
