Gold Nova feels way worse than silver

Ever since i got into gold nova it feels like smurf amounts have increased and newer players have also increased. Also, it seems as if people care way more about the game and flame continuously. Anyone in gold nova/ ranked out of gold nova feel this way?

Gold Nova 1 is when you get Overwatch so I can imagine there are more people who are willing to fight to keep this rank as well as a possibility of people buying accounts that are at least GN1 so they can get access to Overwatch.

But that later point sounds more conspiracy theoryish.

Silver is where you can find more casual chill players, whereas gn is where you find the kids that think theyre “good” and tryhard till they die. I would suggest 5 queueing

Honestly, the bottom half of the rank pool is a mosh pit.

I can steamroll Nova 3s in one game and then lose 16:5 to Silver 3s the next.

It doesn't help that people can literally get a 7 : 23 KDR in their placement matches and still get ranked as Nova 2. Meanwhile players who got lower Silver as their placement can consistently win 70% of their matches and lead the game in kills and ADR and never be able to escape Silver Elite even after 1000 hours.

The best advice I can give is to play for fun. If you want to play competitively, I think queuing with serious players OR switching to FACEIT/ESEA is your best bet.
