Skinbay is a marketplace
To these people, ALL third party sites are bad.

They are not wrong in finding ways to protect themselves, but they spread a lot of FUD with their uninformed facts.
Its Third party for a reason. Even if you work at Acme you can afford a 10$ skin once a week if you so hell bent, or a knife once a month. That way the price is fixed and you can alway get your money back.

I never had to rely on 3rd part bs bc I can skip a Latte and get a skin for crying out loud,

if its OFFICIAL market place already exusts why do you need a THIRD kind Market place that isnt secured and nothing is guaranteed, these naive kids man, even if its going smoothly on it for a while prepare to be feked over is what u deserve

I do not enjoy paying Valve's 15% tax on virtual items, that's all. I prefer the money goes directly to the players (edit: or more correctly, just NOT to Valve) I buy from instead of Daddy Valve. That's why I use bitskins personally.

I 100% agree that you're on your own there though. No using a 3rd party site and then later claiming you got scammed: do your research and realize you're operating outside of the safety zone!

But in this case Skin bay takes the extra money instead of Steam.
The guy below you just stated that the Price is higher than what you actually see.
So what is the difference? You much rather give that change to skinbay? Makes little sense but ok

100% happier with prices going to skinbay over Valve.

Valve charges you 2.50 for the random chance to get a random item from their cases and then charges you for selling that item. How many times do they need to get paid for an item that takes up effectively $0 of space on their servers?

They have already made thousands off me, I'm good on paying them a tax on jpgs.

You said "I prefer money goes directly to the players" so, you lied.
Anyway, I prove my point that 3rd party is unstable and no Good alternative to Valve.
I was not talking about opening cases, only buying skins. But yeah you prove my point bro
SkinBaron actually supports valve with their 15% fee :Kappa:

I have been so owned how ever will I recover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to pay Valve the 15% tax, I should have been more clear on that one, sorry about that! I edited my post to be more clear, thanks for pointing this out.

Skin prices on there are ~30% cheaper than on here.

Bro I dont care about your money, I'm happy for you. Still it doesnt change my point though, and the fact that Skinbay makes money the exact same way as Valve only on top of that they get to Rig their %
In fact they probably make more in certain areas andcertain age demographic.
So in the end there is no tangible reason just pure preference to have more risk out of principle that "Valve does get my money atleast"
But its all cool
Except I don't want to give Valve my 15%? Sorry my reasoning behind my financial decisions are not acceptable to you, I'll try to work on that!

(also Skinbay doesn't have.... multiple multi-million dollar franchises that specialize and push lootboxes but yeah, I'm sure they make money the same way as Valve! (what are you even on about now dude))

yeah whats with all these dumb skin sites, just use the marketplace

When you sell on Marketplace that money goes to Steam Wallet and you can't extract that. On Skin Sites money goes to your bank account. So lets say if you sell a skin for 500 dollars. Would you rather have 500 dollars on Steam or in your bank account?
yes Skinbay is a legit skin marketplace. but just be aware that to use sites like that one they will ask for quite a lot of personal info. your face, your CC's, your ID/passport, utility bills, a photo of a mailed package to your address with your name on it...

so its up to you how much info you give to 3rd party. my personal opinion is giving NOTHING is best on the internet.
