overclocked used to work on 74hz now its back at 60hz (need some help here)
i overclocked my 60hz monitor to 74hz. it worked fine till today. its back at 60hz now.. i tried -refresh 74 and -freq 74 , they didnt help. on nvidia control panel, perform scaling on is set to Display (it doesnt work on gpu i tried). scaling mode set to Full screen, override scaling mode set by other games is ON. (it doesnt help by turning off)

i tried -refresh -freq verifying game files and everything. it used to work before untill today. it still works on desktop but not on csgo. 1024x768 stretched

Fps is normal (150 avg), typing mat_info lets you see your hz for example, Display mode : 1024 x 768 @60Hz (BGRX8888) it says that and it used to say 74hz instead of 60.

VSync is off, all settings low

any help??? the 14 hz makes a lot of difference, the choppy 60hz is killing me

Whats even the point of typing that? if that was possible , overclocking woudnt exist and everyone would be using 240hz

144hz monitors are great and under £200 new so no reason to be on a 60hz anymore.

be careful when overclock screens, specially if panel doesn't handle, you may start to see shadows when playing games
Verify if your custom resolution is running on nvidia control panel/ amd control panel...
Run the game and steam as admin.

Just to let you know, over clocking your monitor could lead to blue screens

some monitor can handle overclocking, but it reduces the lifespan. so youre not really killing it but youre reducing its lifespan
