Low fps w/ rtx 2060 and i7 9700 3ghz
Aye guys, Recently I purchase a new pc with the following specs:
RTX 2060
i7-9700CPU 3.00GHZ
16GB RAM

and I'm getting 150fps on all low settings 4:3 1024x768 (which I clearly need to get way more)
I tried to add the following lunch options aswell, but nothing changed:
-console -novid -nojoy -high +mat_queue_mode -threads 8

I get much higher fps in other titles such as Resident evil 2 (100fps on all high 1080p)

I would appreciate any help in that matter

Thanks and have a great day

Oouch, Do yourself a favor and return the PC, Could be a bad processor and Graphics card. And try to find a PC with known brand parts on the motherboard and psu. Could be your PSU not being able to sustain your power draw? Though that’s probably not the problem.
CSGO is also a esports game and 70% of esports titles are mostly played with highest fps possibe... And that’s why its not so demanding for your graphics card and instead is a medium CPU demanding game. And that 3GHz of yours is kinda slow for todays standards. Most CSGO players use processors with over 3,5GHz and that’s my experience ofcourse

it makes no sense a i7 and rtx runs this bad on 4:3 considering he saying he runs AAA+ releases such as RE2 remake in full HD at 60+ fps, this games is just bad optimized really

I'll try that, just wondering if there's a problem with the processor or the graphics, how come it has an impact only on cs

Try watering your gpu every few minutes to keep it cool

It’s probably due to the core clock of the i7. It’s using the RTX 2060 much more than the CPU in RE2R while CSGO is the complete opposite basically.

Don’t do that lmao. It will probably fry your motherboard and psu which 60% of the time will fry other components. And your warranty will be gone if you have one lmao.

With a better cpu that has 4Ghz and the current graphics card you should see about 1000fps in CSGO with medium settings average.

Check if you enabled VSync on the game or in the Nvidia panel for the CSGO application too

He was lagging more on high so that’s not the problem. Otherwise it would be stable on medium and high.

@op either you are using outdated configs, or driver related issues.

Your rig entirely is fine, issue should be somewhere between software compatability.

I have a RTX2070 and i7 9700k @5.0GHz (my full specs in my profile) and I don't have any fps problems. All maps I get about 300fps+ @ 1920x1080 16:9. Try to use a native resolution, I used to try lower resolutions and I get fps loss. Does't make sense but it's a fact.

Get a Ryzen

Probably csgo is using the integrated gpu rather than the rtx
Also, maybe you did set fps_max to 150
