yes. thats it. i was assuming thats what OP was seeing. if not then never mind i read it wrong.
What you're looking for is psilent. Its kinda useless now but it still works if your fov is around 2-3 or lower if I remember correctly. It allows your bullets to hit even if you aren't aiming on them. It should also show up like that on the demo.
Im willing to bet money it was just an issue with the demo though. I haven't seen anyone use psilent in a very long time.
