Slow Alt Tab after getting a new monitor

I used to have a 144hz monitor, and I could alt tab instantly. But after I got my 240hz monitor, it takes forever to alt tab. On my 144hz I used DVI cable, and HDMI for my 240hz.
I disabled focus assist.

What to do?

A hdmi cable cant handle 240 hz so you know and the higher res you have the higher the minmize its have a sean

I once had issues when my desktop was running at 60hz and the game at 144hz, maybe worth checking.

I just use the HDMI 2.0 cable that came with the monitor, and I can select 240hz in Nvidia settings.

Just bought a Display port cable

Yeah this happens with HDMI and idk why, it's frustrating because I want to be able to use HDMI as my laptop has a HDMI port but the alt-tab takes so damn long. But when I use USB-C to Displayport cable it is instant -> only problem is I would prefer for that USB-C port to be used for my usb hub
