Best: AK-47 or AWP . Both are cult classics with the CS community, and have high damage in GO.
Worst has to go to the PP-Bizon. Low damage, but high accuracy while running and RoF.

All guns are ok if you can appreciate the distance between you and enemy's forehead, also all weapons are just ornaments when 20% kids and 80% adults from the entire mass of cheaters uses aim, wh and some way to travel a 30 seconds distance in 5 seconds, no ideea what is that, noclip, teleportation or some kind of bunny hops on nitrous.

All it matters is to aim for the head and with awp between belly and head,
Also guns have damage noted in the buy menu, wich is kinda usseless, when you hit someone with with 2 magazines of mag and he still have 20+ hp, or from distance and anyother spots except belly-head xD

Worst is the Sawed-Off because it's the most situational one, unless the enemy is really in your face you have almost 0 chance of winning the duel.

The M249 is the worst by a long shot I believe statistically. It’s cost is the most expensive weapon in the game and it isn’t even the great. Sure you can walk faster with it than the Negev but I’d way rather have a laser beam that makes me walk like a mummy than a $5700 piece of garbage.
