144 Hz launch option issue
Hi guys I just buy a new 144hz monitor so i'm trying to start the game with the 144 fps locked, but in launch option the commands (-refresh 144 -freq 144) doesn't work for me...

can you maybe help me?
PS. I dont want to write into the console on every start (fps_max 144)

Thanks

You shouldn't cap your FPS though.

Now when I start a game it's locked to max 144 hz stable.. that's any command for lock it at 144 exactly? Im playing at 1080p 144hz with a 1080ti

Try enabling Vsync in game, or in your graphic card options.

You can look you fps in the nvidia control panel in the 3d settings calls max frame rate

Wouldn't that be if he wanted to limit the max frame rate? He should not do that in CSGO unless there is a problem (maybe overheating GPU).

Ye but if he's got into the 3d settings and change it in the program settings and not global and no he should not lock the fps on csgo but we are just giving him the help he won't even that's not good

It's bad advice to suggest not trying to cap FPS. Stable (but slightly lower) FPS is usually better than wildly fluctuating (but higher peak) FPS.

I would normally recommend setting a FPS cap halfway between maximum and minimum FPS.

So, if you get 300 FPS in spawn at round start and 200 when there's smokes, flashes and tracers flying about, you should try a FPS cap around 250. You can always fine tune this up or down depending on how big the gap is between minimum and maximum frame rate.
