Is 100 ping bad?
Title says it all. I get matched with players who has 40-50 ping against and although everything feels fine, I was just curious. (Yes, I'm on a loss streak right now.)

You could consider it bad.

100 in CSGO is very bad. Even a ping above 40/45 can lower your performance. I set my max ping to 30 which isn't even that good. I've a 12-20 ping on faceit which is good.

I guess that's why sometimes my hits appear to don't register or people suddenly headshotting me?

go to settings, max ping, set it to 51ms

Will try that out, thanks.

It’s bad, but that’s basically the limit before it’s terrible

Imagine:

Your Reaction Time:

250ms + 100ms Ping = 350ms

Enemy Reaction Time:

300ms + 15ms Ping = 315ms

You can consider it bad, as your average reaction time is hugely influenced by it. Plus to that, your movement is probably broken asf at some points.

I should probably mention that sometimes it goes over 100 as well. Rarely ever it is at 90 or 95.

Oh, a new update. For the first time ever, I actually had below 60 ping while playing competitive. Despite the game saying the best ping I get from offical servers is 84. What gives?
