Do people that paid for the game get anything for actually PAYING?!?!
I brought this game before it became free (like last year) and now it's free? Do people like me get a refund for the money they paid or...? Cause it seems a little unfair that all we get is free prime and a badge? (That's just what my friends told me)

I think this happened because valve did not communicate. They always never communicate. :erune: Had they reply "Thank you for your support, game is now free for future players, for your future friends and future epic experience! Without you, a free is never possible" Had they say that, I guarantee you that OP will not make this topic.

In my opinion, cheaper games can be free anytime, so it's good news! :erune: We will never see a $69.99 game becoming free tomorrow. For $5 - $ 15 games, it is possible to become free due to steam platform's success. Hence it is only helping us towards the end. For those who paid, they were never shamed. They have only missed the free ship or discount opportunity. There will be more in future.

get over it basically. Same thing happened with TF2, came out as a game you played for, eventually went free.

15 dollars USD, it was $20 for me, plus that money could have gone to better things. And it's not that little amount if your poor, lmao.

True, but i paid with the full intention of thinking it would not be free or if it did become free then I would get something a little better than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ badge.

What to get a job? I live with my single mother, who has a job but rarely gets me things to do with games, as they're too expensive.
