I think you can't.
The laptop's secondary display output is most probably a VGA or HDMI.
You need a display port to reach 240hz. That is something you'd find on a PC graphics card.

according to the specifications displayport (and thus thunderbolt if you got a little adapter) supports 240hz for up to 1080p resolution

so yeah as long as your pc can feed those 240fps (which is more relying on your cpu than that gtx 1070 in the case of csgo) you should be able to use that display

had to correct the resolution, its 1080p not 1440p my bad

how to know my thunderbolt can work as a display port too?

all thunderbolt ports can act as display ports, just get a male thundebolt to female display port adapter and your good

on the other hand, if that dosnt work you can try to use 120hz with your laptop, thats what im doing

that is if it really is thunderbolt and not usb-c, for which i cant find definitive specs concerning 240hz yet

Wow you have thunderport. I think you're good to go. :erune:

It's a port that combines DisplayPort and PCI express.

Thank you for updating me! Laptops are no longer having an output of VGA and HDMI.
