You get case drops by playing. My advise is to never open the cases, just sell them on the steam market or hold on to them.

You have to fully complete matches to obtain crates, skins, etc...
Even when you complete a match, you only have a chance of getting anything.
If you play nice, someone may even commend you

Leveling up once a week gets you a random drop fo sho. But after that first level up, you only have small chances of getting drops. I believe it shows on the xp bar if you are getting a drop or not, right?
