Faceit and esea are two different platforms, which is pretty much just mm/pugging, but for more skilled players.
ESEA used to be relevant and good, but too many scandals and the fact that they dont really care about their pugging system makes them very poor, and its therefore no reason to play there. The only reason to play ESEA is to play the leagues.
Faceit is the popular and better platform, even though its still garbage (because of elo boosting, only good at PR, never really fixing issues etc.).
People play faceit/esea to play with better anti cheat and to challenge themselves more and hopefully go pro.
On faceit and esea you have FPL and rank S which is pretty much challenger from league of legends, but in a cancer version.
You can reach rank S if youre good, but esea is dead so there is no need.
You probably wont reach FPL ever, because you will have to qualify through FPL-C. And you will have to qualify through FPL-C qualifier, which you probably wont be able to reach unelss youre playing hubs - because its based on points, and not skill. This means that those who elo boost eachother 10 hours a day will be able to reach FPL-C qualifier and you probably never will unless you do the same.
TL;DR Esea is dead, dont play it. Faceit is the better alternative, even though its ♥♥♥♥, and FPL is where the pros play against each other.
They got hubs as well, so you can try to find asian or australian hubs to join.
