It has three options for FPS Game 1, FPS Game2, RTS Game and Custom (Game)

If i remember correctly, it should reduce input lag. Not sure if there are any bad sides.

I thought that’s what it did, my bad :P
With the Tv I use with my ps4, it affects the color settings a bit and it looks worse, thought that’s what it was.

lol can you please post your claims, because thats not true at all 100% myth and 100% false, sure ill amight im not the brightest of the tech but i know my monitors like i know my amds.

on topic: gaming mode reduces input delay but sometimes causes other issues that arent too bad, may i ask the monitor you have and ill research and than edit this comment part to give info of what it really does, i know for tvs it removed like 2ms off the normal tendincy input delay

i think its only brightness, gamma and saturation. FPS is usually brighter so you can see things easier.

So heres exactly what it does. Game mode removes all of the monitors processes that it runs though in order to give a better image quality in lighting which gives it the dim and washed out sort of look at the cost of a much reduced latancy so for instance if you have a TV or Monitor that is like 6ms refresh rate gaming mode would bring it down to 3ms with at the slight cost of picture quality in lighting.

I have a gaming monitor. It does nothing except changing the brightness and color tone. There is also cinematic and RBG modes.

They are all horrible in my opinion - quite hurting for my eyes. The best is an IPS monitor, my eyes felt relaxed and comfortable with it. However, I want the 144hz refresh. :erune:
