Can banned friends affect my trust factor?
I have been on this game since it was released, so i had added alot of players back then and as the time passed, i was doing a clean up of my friends list since many of them i never played with anymore , as i started to unfriend people out of 120 friends i had about 30+ guys vac banned, can that affect my trust factor???
note : i unfriended them ofcourse, and alot of others (only left 17 guys lol )

I do not believe so. If you didn't cheat then you have nothing to worry about.

not unless you play with them in most your games. playing with peopel who then get banned later drop your trust factor. which is in the word itself if you *trust* them.. and if valve should trust you .

YES

Trust Factor isn't based on if you actually do anything wrong only if Valve thinks your untrustworthy. The kind of person who is friends with cheaters is likely to be a cheater himself. Not saying you are a cheater but I trust you less because of it and so does Valve

Hope this helps,

ya playing with them can lower your trust facttor even if they dont get banned till later. but that is eaily regained tbh as long as you dont loose it altogether which is hard unless they carried you 20+ games.:P But i had that issue before myself. found out someone i had played 2-3 games with was cheatign reported them myself.. and since i had played multiple games with them it affected my trust reputaiton which makes sence caue he could have been considered boosting me which isnt good and overall unfair , just play smart. and if you feel weird or question something dont second guess it. i weekly purge my friends list too

Csgo doesn’t allow cheaters to boost players end of story

SHOULDNT be to much an issue then tbh. just know if you play prime games with a friend and he ends up cheating that will bring down your trust factor. BUT you also increase you trust factor with each game you play so in the end. if you play conceutivly and dont que with cheaters consistantly your trust will be fine :) ( and not all vac's are from csgo :P )

Q: I play CS:GO on a Steam account that I acquired from someone else (rather than creating it myself on steampowered.com). Could this explain the poor experience that I am having?

A: Yes. When you acquire a premade Steam account then you also acquire that Steam account’s Trust Factor. Additionally, acquired accounts commonly have a very low Trust Factor. Don’t acquire accounts from other users.

from here.

this should actually be the best answer for those who go buy steam accounts on 3rd party websites.

there is actually a guide on CS:GO Trust Factor here.

not sure if it is accurate or not at this point of time.

As I've played with around 7 people who got VAC banned in close proximity to the matches I played with them (Which lead to me losing my rank 7 times), I'd say it does. I've never cheated/griefed, but still my friends are notified that their experience will be significantly affected because of my low trust factor. The only other thing that could cause that would be the large group of people reporting me just because they can. And yes, I have emailed to the adress given in the original "I suspect I have a low trust factor. What should I do?" section. Never got a response. I still can't say for sure, but judging by my experience the answer is yes, they can.

ya you're right
it is a common thing tbh and the system is there to make sure people dont get carreied by hackers :P and to inform other when the person they are playing with may have been carreid by cheaters :) they trust factor really teachs you who to trust and how to trust random people you play with on your friends list

my first quote on your post i read what i wrote and was like wtf was i thinking lol
