*Anticheat compatibility hook* option in OBS - what the hell is that?

Someone who uses OBS, when you go to game capture, there is an option anticheat compatiibility hook, what is it? Is it safe to have it enabled?

OBS scans memory while in game, which some anticheats doesn't like at all.
OBS is clean for VAC, don't know for others anticheats.

As far as I can tell it helps it identify itself as NOT a cheat easier?
