you found a way to make it work image sharpering for CS:GO ?
Nvidia sharpening does not work for me too, but not only with CSGO but also with Left 4 Dead 2.
All the other games that are not using Source engine - they work perfectly fine with my universally good nvidia sharpening settings (30 % sharpening, 0 % ignore film grain).
I tried Nvidia sharpening with a good handful of games so far: Dying Light, Killing Floor 2, Far Cry 5, Road Redemption, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7, Cold Fear (very old game from 2005, and even that one supports nvidia sharpening perfectly fine). All those games apply that 30 % sharpening and 0 % film grain without any problems, all the while providing a nice graphical enhancement.
So I think the problem regarding CSGO and Left 4 Dead 2 not applying Nvidia image sharpening settings could be due to engine (Source engine)? Just an educated guess you know, since two Source engine games did not worked so far, meanwhile all the other games that I tried worked flawlessly.
POST SCRIPTUM:
Image sharpening works with Left 4 Dead 2, but you must disable MSAA antialiasing. Does not work with CSGO in any way, shape or form.
In other words, there is no possible way for Nvidia image sharpening to work with CSGO, because it has been silently disabled on driver level (probably because CSGO is an esport game, and stuff like post-processing graphics enhancements such as Sweetfx or Reshade or ENB are not allowed and WILL get you VAC-banned 100 %, and since Nvidia image sharpening is essentially Reshade framework that has been embedded into nvidia drivers - official feature from graphics card drivers is not whitelisted, without any excuses).
But I can confirm that Nvidia image sharpening WORKS with Left 4 Dead 2 and presumably with other Source engine games that are not CSGO (we are talking about Half Life 2, HL2 episodes, Portal duology, Team Fortress 2, Black Mesa, etc etc). The reason why Nvidia image sharpening feature did not worked previously is because MSAA antialiasing automatically disables Nvidia image sharpening feature. But if you disable MSAA antialiasing - Nvidia image sharpening is going to work perfectly fine.
Go ahead and try it yourself, launch Left 4 Dead 2 or Half Life 2 or whatever, completely turn off MSAA antialiasing and apply some hilariously oversharpened setting (such as 100 % sharpening, 0 ignore film grain). After seeing proof that Nvidia image sharpening actually works, then you can set the sharpening to 25 or 30 %, which is my own optimal range.
But yeah, there is no possible way to make Nvidia image sharpening to work with CSGO. Disabling MSAA does not help either. Sorry guys.
