Voice changer gives VAC?!
I want to use a voice changer software that changes the input of my mic and tunes my voice into a chipmunk for making YouTube videos.

Would that be considered as cheating third party software and gets me VAC banned?!

I want a definite answer please because I don't want to get banged because of something stupid like this 😅

No but you might get reported for abusive voice chat or griefing if you're being annoying. That's about all I could think of.

I'm not gonna insult anyone 😅
And mostly gonna do it with people I've played with before or in casual.

"Steam and the Content and Services may include functionality designed to identify software or hardware processes or functionality that may give a player an unfair competitive advantage when playing multiplayer versions of any Content and Services or modifications of Content and Services ("Cheats")."

Thats valve definition of cheats, does voicechanger falls under this?

I'm not sure how useful this is.

Things like skin changers can give you a ban and there is no such advantage to gain there.

I absolutely do not know 😅 that's why I'm asking before I do it 😂

The software is basically gonna be running in the background.
I go to the voice settings on Windows, enable the voice changer to be my main input source for my mic and voice.
Then, all the input Voice in the whole system is taken from the software with whatever tweaks I put.
That's pretty much what it does..

Any idea? 😶

Yes exactly why I'm asking!
The skin changer is only working for my end and doesn't do anything to the server but still gets VAC..

Skin changers modify memory values in counter-strike to enable you to see the skin you want to see. This involves modifying counter strikes memory in order to achieve an effect, even if it doesn't give you an advantage.

Counter-Strike doesn't do any voice processing on its side at all, it just passes through what Windows hands it and so if Windows hands it something that sounds like a chipmunk, it gets something like a chipmunk.

You will not be VAC banned for a voice changer.

I was just telling the previous user copying and pasting the definition of what Valve calls a cheat isn't exactly useful in this instance.

"may give a player an unfair competitive advantage" "or modifications of Content and Services"

You are not getting competitive advantage but you are modifying the game to display different skins which counts as cheatintg

Well I really hope this is the answer I really want!
I'm gonna look it up more before I do it to be sure.
I might send them an email to inquire to be sure about it.

In this case, I'm not changing anything in csgo..
I'm changing something to the whole Windows.

You could get a VAC error (and not a VAC Ban) because of the voice changer in the background.
VAC is pretty edgy and refuse to connect you to VAC secured server at the slicest things x)

Also notice than skin changer can give you a small advantage, with transparent texture for example : it could free a bit of your screen. Ebce the VAC ban for skin changer.
