Reason is simple, on bitskins (the real one that is) only you can ask for your items to be given to the website.
When you initiate the trade FROM the website, the website will give you a security code, if the bot asking you for the items has a different security code, then it's a scam.
NOTICE: you are the only person with that security code, if the other user gives you the security code, again, that's a scam.
verify the bot dates etc before giving him the items 90% it couldbe a scam
I am not sure if the person you're dealing with knows this or not.
Sounds like the casual bitskin impersonator trade scam.
- gimme your tradelink
- gives
- ok hol up
- *5 mins pass*
- *trade offer from <fake bitskin bot #999> comes asking for your item in return for no items*
- you accept => you just got scammed
