I really hope you're right... I really do.
Hey, do you think the problem may reside in what partition style type of disk i have?
I know there are two types, MBR and GPT, and i'm currently using MBR.
or perhaps the file system type? (I'm currently using NTFS)
I have the same issue so I think it was an update.
Did you also try all of the fixes i attempted?
Do you have exactly the same problem i have?
If so... THEN WELCOME ON BOARD XD
Did you happen to format your PC before playing the game with the new update? (Cuz this is what i did)
If no... then this has nothing to do with that... and the problem is a little bit more clearer now.
I'd suggest you talk to steam support, tell them your situation, your pc info/specs, and all that stuff, and tell them you found this thread and tried everything.
This will surely help them in some way to narrow down the problem, or find a solution to it.
If you want you can add me, and we can talk about this more.
Ah this is what you meant.
Well given that i had already installed a new windows 2 months ago, i guess i have already done this.
Anyways, thanks for the attempt for help!
Right so... I looked more into this, and i have to say the title deceived me.
The way I understood this is that i'd reset my windows, and that's it.... Except i don't want to do that.
Recently as i was working on a UE4 game project, i attempted to build a level, and i got this error message code "0xc000007b"... which shouldn't happen.
This appeared on other programs i have, but i didn't think much of it... though now this happened, it needs to be fixed.
Now, i have to give a bit of context that I may have not realized is important or relevant.
When i formatted my PC, i have completely removed the OS (Windows), and then installed a different Windows version that is more up-to-date.
The problem here being that, i could have just formatted my PC without removing the current windows, or by reinstalled the same windows version i have... which might have been the reason why all of this happened.
So here's what I REALLY want, and am going to attempt to do...
I'm going to attempt to RESET MY PC to FACTORY SETTINGS.
As seen in this link " https://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/c02638587 " under "Factory Reset"

By doing this, I may have windows 8.1 installed after this operation is completed, from there i can upgrade to windows 10, using the windows upgrade tool, in which everything will be back to normal.... or so it should.
I will update this thread once i have finished doing this... i hope i don't run into any further problems...
I still get the 0x000007b error whenever i try to open certain programs, or when i build a level in unreal engine.
Additionally, the game doesn't run... meaning that i haven't really done anything, i'm back to the start.
I didn't even install my anti-virus yet...
So yeah, very depressing.
