Is Gold Nova 2 decent for someone with 31 hours?
Just finished up my 10 competitive wins and came out with Gold Nova 2. Is that decent for someone like me with only 31 hours in-game?

Yes. It's good. Especially when you're completely new to first person shooter and counter strike in general.
I have played a few older CS games now and again, but this is the first CS game I've really put my time into and I've played FPSs pretty much since I first started playing video games.

Yes, most players start in silver. GN2 is considered the average rank in csgo.
Ohhhh nice

Which is still a very good rank. You skipped whole Silver and even GN1. :) Good job. :steamhappy:

You still play MM?? After you get some hours I’d recommend faceit better games and players, you won’t have trolls all the time like a lot of mm games and I’m mge and you still get them a lot

When you make a new account, you play with new players. I am gn1 with 150 wins in competetive and i played in a non-prime mg2 game. All of the players did not know what they were doing. The only good thing about the match is that there were no cheaters. Starting at a high rank is good. I started silver 1 and it was a pain in the ass for me to get out of there. 100 hours in 2 weeks :P search tutorials on youtube to learn game sense and how to move around and positions etc. Dont worry about spray until you understand most of the game mechanics. But anyways, congrats

uh you will prolly derank when you play bc u will lose

Ranks don't matter, your calibration is more about luck than actual skill and the way you rank are the same. The ranks are only there to make casuals (since this is merely public matchmaking with a rank attached) care about it and not leave/cheat/grief. Not that its working that way, quite the opposite.

What factors into ranking?

Rounds won
Mvp

This means that your kda has no impact at all and if you ie play 10 matches, lose 8 of them with 1 round and then win 2 matches with 15 rounds, you might rank up.

Don't focus on the rank, focusing on having fun.
