It does feel absurd in the sense that cosmetic data existed in our computers. It is non existent, yet we pay money to view them.
However, this thinking is obsolete. Due to the high speed internet and a fast computer, a movie can be downloaded in less than a minute. It is only ethical to pay for those pixel contents.
Skin designers and map designers were paid for their efforts. It's ultimately an economy system where people worked for each other. It would then be otherwise selfish and absurd to not give them a small form of life support.
A professional 10 minute autocad drawing can easily cost $100. Or a logo. Skins do their fair share of cost due to popular design and demands. We can no longer pretend it's all free.
However, I feel the price isn't right. To display a nice looking skin or sticker, it should be just $1 and not $2.50 for a random roll to get something we don't like.
supply and demand Irene and we dont have communism to control prices you know free market so i think its fair the prices are fine and they can go up even more if there is a demand on csgo skins but its in your hand to buy them or not.
