What does it mean when teammates say contact in pistol round?

Depends on the context. If they say “Go B until you make contact, then go A” that means when you see someone. If they say “Contact Mid” that means there are enemies mid.

Contact is when hostiles spot each other and few rounds were fired from either sides. It's a miliary term.

So many conflicting ideas - usually when people say 'contact B' they mean walk up B until you are spotted or make contact with the enemy. At this point you can run or push in. This is to conceal that you're approaching a site for as long as possible.
