i7 7700HQ + GTX 1060 = 80-100fps
OK, so this thing is pissing me off. In july, I brought a Lenovo Legion Y720, with the following specs:

I7 7700HQ @2,8 GHz (Turbo Boost: 3,8 GHz)
nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (not the Max-Q variant)
16GB RAM DDR4 @2400mHz
128GB SSD NVME (where the CS:GO is installed)
1TB HDD @5400RPM

So i play this game on a 144Hz monitor, and i'm only getting 80-120 FPS (no matter the resolution/settings/map). What have I tried before coming here:

- Making sure battery profile is set to High Performance
- Making sure CS:GO is running on 1060, not on the Intel Graphics
- Making sure laptop is plugged in
- Making sure the windows is clean, with no viruses, no bloatware etc.
- Reinstalled CS:GO
- Reinstalled Windows 10
- tried fps_max 0, fps_max 300, and mat_queue_mode

So, this is only a CS:GO problem, CS SOURCE runs like butter, locked at 400 fps from console, Witcher 3 GOTY Edition runs at 60fps Ultra settings (no HairWorks), GTA V runs 70-80 fps at very high - ultra settings, so this is not a problem with the laptop, any other games runs just awesome...

So, i am not the type of guy that doesn't google before asking, but i'm at a loss tbh. And please, if you come here telling me that 80-100 is enough, please don't answer, this laptop should run CS:GO at 200+ easy. God, even my old I7 4720MQ + GT 740m ran it at 140-160 fps.

Sorry for the long post, and hopefully i'll find a solution soon

Yep, tried all that, both before and after every reinstall

Yeah, you should be getting like 300-400 FPS in CSGO. Look up videos on console commands, and when you run the game, go to task manager and make sure there aren't any other tasks that are slowing down CSGO. If nothing else works, try to get in contact with Microsoft or Valve or something. GL, mate.
Not anything slowing it down. As I said, only CS:GO is affected, any other game runs butter smooth

It's not because of the OS, I myself run Windows 10 Home edt and I'm getting constatn 100/130 fps.

Try opening console and setting max fps to 144. It might be locked at something idk.
OxygeN Sep 15, 2018 @ 1:34pm
Well there is no point in degrading in OS as it might harm your fps even more.

try in launch options -threads <your ammount of threads>

Tried it, with 8 threads, saw some video about optimising cs go, with -novid -threads etc. even tried BananaGaming cfg, same fps

Tried it with MSI Afterburner, the thing is that both CPU and GPU are around 30-40%. Something isn't working well, but i'm not sure what. Now, as i checked online, i found out that cs go didn't really liked pascal GPU's in the past, but the latest drivers should be good
