Letterbox 4/3

I have a 16:10 monitor but I want it to look like 4:3 on 16:9. So is there a way I can play with letterbox black bars?

He does not want it stretched, he wants to run 16:9 resolution on 16:10monitor.

adjust resolutions tab

no scaling

set custom resolution to anything 16:9

be done with it.

Then why didnt you write that? You are just being difficult now.

If you want to run a 4:3 resolution at 16:9 scale on your 16:10 monitor, you cannot.

It would require running the game at 4:3 resolution stretched within a virutal window at 16:9 with black bars on your 16:10 monitor.

If op wants 16:9 to look like 4:3, then go No Scaling and set the resolution.
If op wants 4:3 resolution stretched to 16:9 and letterbox with 16:10 monitor, then do that windowed.

I think it sums up that csgo just doesn't have an option for it. Overwatch does but cs somehow doesn't or can't be modified in that way.

Yea, pretty much all pros play on 16:9 monitors. Im basically trying to make my 16:10 monitor a 16:9 monitor.

I play 1920x1440 4:3. (no black bars)
Using nVidia settings and make custom resolution. So it's wider and still sharp. YouTube and Google has many this related discussions.
