Remote host Closed the Connection TEMP WORKAROUND/FIX

OK so for all those people out there having this issue diconnecting you from the server especially in a competitive match as my mate constanlty has this problem every few games he plays.

Ok so what i figured out whats it has something to do with the networking with valve servers.

Now some people could potentially reboot their router, BUT if you do and u just joined a comp game chances are you wont get back in time and cop a sweet comp cooldown (thanks valve).

Step 1. Verify CSGO game Files. right click on Counter-Strike Global offensive, hit the local files tab, then hit VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...

Step 2. Close steam.

Step 3. Press the windows key hold and press R to get the run promt up and then type CMD and press enter. you should now have a commant promt window open.
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter and it should say

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

Close the window and quickly reboot. Hopefully you have an SSD.

9 times out of ten following these steps will temporarly fix the problem and you should now be able to join compeditive without getting kicked and the remote host has closed the connection error.

When i have figured out a permanent fix i will update this article.

Sic whos having this problem we found aftre ingame of it happening and trying the above he only just managed to reboot his modem and reconnect to find that helped relieve this issue. again may not work for everyone but hope it helps

it is quite temporary, it worked like a charm but only for around 2 hours, or about one game and the search time for the next

Yeah it is unfortunatly but if it helps you not get a 30 min - 24hour cooldown that way aftwards you can reboot the computer and internwt and hopefully get a couple hours or a day or so of releif from the annoying problem.

for me the issue has resolved itself in around half a month time since Sept. 1, but I've noticed a lot of other people have been having this issue lately,

yeah. ive been getting it so much and it might seem like something small but i already lost like 2 rounds because of this issue

one thing my mate has tried which seems to work. tho may it be it is a massive pain in the ass. reboot your modem before you start playing. we found last nite that after rebooting the modem mid game he had about 20 seconds left before he was banned but got back in time and dident disconnect in that game or the couple of games after that one. unfortunalty this is only a work around like in my first post but it seems to stop the issue from happening.

if i find a proper fix i will update this post.

Sorry to be a negative nancy but now my game is even more broken after trying this.

Before my game would just say host closed the connection maybe after one round of gameplay but now it kicks me as soon as I load into the game.(sometimes i only just see to the end of a loading screen).

This maybe helpful for some people but this did not work well for me.

P.S. I have not tried this twice i may eat my words.

try all the usuall things reboot. reboot modem verify steam cashe of csgo and reboot again usually thats just a glitch with csgo

yeah it seems to work when it wants to now even when i do all that stuff
