1st off valve and CS are not new....... stick to fortnite
They dont even want to do smth
They can add something like prime acc but with anticheat, u must launch it and u allow to search matches with anicheat but they r re tarded
Actually it's quite fun to watch. :pfff:
*shares popcorn with valve
They are not sued for the cheating. They are sued for copyright infringements.

Even without prime you have several anticheats.

Interestingly enough users could actually start suing other users in csgo. As a lawyer I've researched the issue and have even drawn up a draft complaint.
ok go do it then

You can’t sue cheaters and this isn’t fortnite
It’s less of a lawsuit, more of pressing charges for tampering with copyrighted software and breach of contract.

When you click agree to play fortnite you are accepting a contract for your account. (If This were real, he wins the court case by not being 18 and admitting he went behind his moms back and accepted the terms of service) Stating that your account/game is their property and tampering with either is altering legally copyrighted items for usage. Running cheats or disabling the anti cheat system or even bypassing it....is tampering with legally registered software.

I mean this is basic PC law. Truthfully every gaming company does this. Hence why account selling is frowned upon. Everquest had the same stuff in their EULA in 1999.

Fortnite just made headlines while doing so.
You could probably write this off as a marketing tactic to say, “look we aren’t bluehole, we will physically go after cheaters in real life. Come play our game.”

As they also have really stopped caring to push this press now that their game exploded.

TLDR:
Old news, this was a marketing stunt.

It's not something I feel inclined to do but it's legally possible. We all agreed to the same terms of service and cheating is intentionally inflicting emotional distress upon others. Damages would be interesting to prove but punitive damages dont need to be proven.

It's legally possible to sue a shoe manufacturer for the lack sugar in your homemade chocolate.

Simply being able to sue someone for reasons like this doesn't make it a valid lawsuit.
