MacOS Mojave Compatibility
Here's a quick PSA as I spent a LONG time trying to find a solution!

Each application running as 32 bit will show a warning one time. Simply click "Ok" and the app should load. (https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht208436)

I was unable to get CS:GO to load, still. There was some unseen warning that was being displayed as my touch bar would show an "ok" option. When I either pressed "Ok" or "Esc" the app would close.

I finally installed CS:Source. I found that the a warning appeared which game me the same "Esc" or "Ok" option on the touch bar. This warning indicated that:

"Failed to create OpenGL device! Please see the following for more info. http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=772"

This made sense because I knew there was some deprication of OpenGL on MacOS Mojave.

However, I thought there should still be compatibility.

I found an old discussion at:
https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/882962960793390739/

This eluded to a change of resolution as the primary problem.

So, I knew that MacOS Mojave does not have resolution scales to pick from.

I simply turned off scaling.

System Preferences->Displays->Resolution->Default for Display

Hope this can help someone!

I have High Sierra and this solved the problem.
This is the single best solution I have found on the web. Thank you.

Has fps been dropped? Or it doesn't affect?

My display preferences are already set to that and it doesn't work?

Fixed.

I was having same problem and the display preference thing did not solve it. Then I launched CS:GO. When the screen went blank, I pressed Command + Option + Esc (force quit app). Then I saw a dialog box asking for Microphone permission. Clicked OK. Launched CS:GO again and it worked without any issue.

So, in my case - looks like the Microphone permission dialog was stalling.

If you're forced to repeatedly allow Steam permissions for Accessibility, just execute following line in terminal:
`sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Steam.app`
