Video settings not saving [SOLVED]
So I recently got a 144hz monitor and started using 4:3 and for some reason every time I turn on the game my video settings reset to auto which is hight, but I don't want all hight because I need more fps. How do I fix tihs?

Edit: Fix (outdated)
Just go to Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg and delete video.txt and videodefault.txt

Edit 2: This should be the new fix, I just copy pasted my comment from this thread

They changed the directory. First off you wanna find your trade link by going here and look at the numbers in your trade link, for me it's 163353942.

After that go to "F:\Games\Steam\userdata" (that's where it's located for me, but basically go to your steam folder and go to userdata), then go to the folder labeled by the numbers in your trade link, then go to 730 (that's the number for csgo), then go to local and finally go to cfg. At the end you should end up here, except the first string of numbers will be different for you, "F:\Games\Steam\userdata\163353942\730\local\cfg". Finally delete video.txt and videodefaults.txt and that should fix the issue.

Yes
Then you copied your config into it right? Search for the video settings inside and delete them

I did but I made it all myself so it looks clean and there are no video settings in it, also I don't think it did that before

video.txt is what stores your video settings.

I know but those look like the settings I have in game but it doesn't switch to them, it just says Auto: High for example on everything

For other folks, I found my settings here:

Steam\userdata\<your_id>\730\local\cfg\video.txt
