"Legit Hacking" Problem
Maybe some of you are still unaware, but there is a massive issue in CS:GO right now with regards to "legit cheats" or "legit hacking".

Ever been headshotted by someone who doesn't position their crosshair, doesn't show any game awareness, barely clears angles, and yet, he clearly doesn't have walls? It's called "legit hacking".

I don't want to get banned from the forums for linking cheats, but there are COUNTLESS horrible, horrible, CS:GO youtubers that build their entire channel upon 'legit hacking' solo queue. You can find them all simply by searching the term into Youtube or Google. Even watching them, it can be hard to acknowledge that they're actually using cheats when they don't have any visuals active. This has caused me to become suspicious of probably more people than I reasonably should. Valve needs to step-up their anti-cheat, because it feels like there are more FUD cheats than there have ever been. I can barely play competitive without feeling like someone is cheating.

EDIT: new methods of legit hacking are soundesps, glowing skin, proxy aimbots, and backtracking. Search bhop and gill into youtube channel search, those are just a couple.

i've noticed that when playing games, although when watching killer replays i've just assumed the replay is lagging and they legit did line up their cross hair without the video showing

Thanks for bringing this up. I didn't know this existed but it does seem to have a lot of "hackers" lately. People shooting you when they shouldn't have seen you, getting insane headshots while b-hopping all over the place. Wow. Wish they would do something about this.

To add to your concern about the YouTube legit cheaters, look how many views those videos get, it’s insane.

Then look at csgo cheat forums at the number of downloads and it puts everything into perspective.
(the one I saw the top 6 cheats had 3 million views)

There are without doubt many cheaters.

VAC delay bans contribute to this as cheats are marked as undetected for ages, players get frustrated by the cheating opponents they face, buy alt accounts solely to cheat on and don’t care if they get Vaced, they will just get another one tomorrow.

This makes it hard for a legit player.

another thread that could have been avoided has the OP read the pinned threads first

The pinned thread does not address legit hacking and streamers using them on YouTube.

the pinned thread is so new and frustrated users can see what they should and should not create threads about and this is one of the main topics, these threads all start out the same, a newer user had a bad game and here to complain about it and act like they know better than everyone and it turns into a flame war between newer players and veteran players

the pinned threads were created to avoid this kind of thing because these kinds of threads are technially against the forum rules as they are seen as spam, we are all tired of seeing them over and over and over.

There's also a legitimate community for it. It's really sad.

Well alot of veteran players are tired of seeing cheating get so bad after supporting this game so long.
They said at the end of 2016 that 2017 Valve was going to spend it making VAC better but nothing has happened it has got worse then ever before in the game even with all the hopps to jump thru VAC is the problem if you have 30 steps but VAC does not do its job properly then the 30 steps is useless.

You expect me to sift through every pinned thread just so I don't commit minor forum offenses? Heh. My time is worth more than that my dude. And yours should be too.
Les Rad Mar 7, 2018 @ 5:07pm
No one was flaming, or off topic until you added your thoughts, pinned threads are helpful and well written but they certainly don’t cover all aspects related to cheating.

Maybe, the best option is just to make it a forum rule that any discussions about cheating are forbidden.
