Does anybody have Zowie XL2411P ? Question regarding settings...
Hello,

Just received the zowie xl2411p. The default colors are awful, so I spent some time tweaking it and everything so far, looks great. One of the many features that sold me on this monitor was, black equalizer but i cant use it . Does anyone know why black equalizer option is greyed out? I can't modify it or anything.

dont use the black equalizer, its garbage, it just washes out all the colours, i have the older t model and have just spent the past couple of days trying to make it look good, the black equalizer screws it up all the time for a proper colour calibration and finally i decided to do a calibration with it off and now i actually have a screen im happy with at long last

Ahh...I see thanks for your input. What about the blur reduction backlight strobe ? When I enable it, everyhing gets super dark...is it supposed to be like that? Is there that much of a difference with blur reduction on or off?

cant help you there, my model was from like 2012 so it hasnt got any of the newer fancy stuff, all i can say is take your time, dont rush things and maybe just try them one at a time and not all at once so you can figure out what each thing is doing and slowly over a duration of you'll get what you want from it all

i know some people use it just for gaming (mine has 3 modes i can use) and have it off during normal pc usage, but its just another brightness setting, if you can figure how to select (greyed out, maybe only works on certain connections) then you should still check it out, you might find you feels its a benefit, i was using it maxed out and my screen looked pretty good to me, but the more tweaking i do the more i learn, and you might be one of those who has it on all time liek i did, or might end up with a gaming and generic pc setting so it helps the games, but doesnt ruin other pc duties
