Why don't pros use the AUG/SG?

I'm someone with 2800 hours in CS GO. No matter how much I used M4/AK 99 percent of the time, thd aug and sg always just seemed superior weapons.

I only used M4 and AK so I don't follow in into using "noob guns" but I'm going to reconsider using the SG/AUG the next time I play.

Actually, the SG 553 does more damage than the AK-47 and has 100% Armor Penetration.

The reason pros dont use them is from an economic point of view.
The guns are more expensive and the bit of extra damage isn't worth the extra cost in the long run.

Teamwork and utilities is essentinal for pros

Last time I checked the guns still had recoil, therefor there's skill involved.

Their cost, which is inflated by a couple of niche benefits (aug's accuracy, commando's armor piercing, both guns' scopes and rates of fire), largely prohibits their use outside of dedicated marksmen players, who seem to be a dying breed these days.
