wet cloth
just use dishwasher or liquid soap, squeeze the excessive water carefully to not damage the mousepad and let it dry. Do not use a sponge or anything that could damage the mousepad, just use a piece of cloth.

Sounds like the top surface has worn through time to get a new mat they don't last forever might be that you are just very heavy handed.

So I put water on the cloth and just rub it? I tried doing that before but the stickyness is still there in the middle ;(

do it with hot water if it's not coming out. It's the same principal as washing dishes xD, hot water removes most of the fat and remains of grime.

i've done wash & iron my mousepads, they became fluffy, flatter & easy to slip when use.
i dont recommend u to wash, just gentle brush them instead.
