If I delete and reinstall the game, do I lose up my level up/rank up progress?
A rather simple question but I haven't found the answer yet.

I've played some community maps and decided to delete and reinstall the game in order to delete the community map files which may have been stored inside the game file.

Your data is saved up in cloud so no you dont lose your progress this is applicable on all steam games :)

Okay. And what about the community files? Do they get deleted when you delete the game? I haven't played much of them but I want them all removed.

How do you do that? I just hopped to a community server and the map loaded while the game was in the loading screen, loading the map. There wasn't any "subscribe"/"unsubcsribe" button to be seen.

The ones I played on community servers.

I deleted the game now but there seems to be files left on the game file. For example bhop_nira.bsp which sounds like a file from a community map. and also thumbnails and a few other bsp files which are clearly from a community map.

There's also a "downloadcache which is a DB file.

Not all, just where the steam cloud is supported.

Rank is not deleted, subscribed maps aren’t deleted, ones from servers you join are

If u delete the game, the only thing that u need to download is, if u joined community servers, since this isn´t saved to the cloud.

Then what are the leftover files found on the CS GO game file?

I deleted everything inside the maps file btw.

These things are saved to your cloud:
- Workshop subscriptions
- Your Rank

What isn´t saved:
- Downloaded content from community server
- Your CS:GO Config

My advice

Never send data and folders to anyone from steam client (steam.exe, etc) otherwise you will have tremendous problems.

The consequence is, for example:

Authorized steam client and acc on the unknown computer, attempt to hack, etc :shrub:
Better safe than sorry ... :shrub:
You can send your common folder, since there are ONLY your game files.
