30-40 FPS On Lowest Settings On New Laptop
So I recently bought a new laptop and downloaded and installed csgo on it and my framerate was attrocious, so I changed my resolution to the lowest, put all the settings on low and only had a slight improvement. I updated my graphics drivers and have tried a lot of things such as factory resets ect.. So I'm not really sure what to do..

Here are my specs:

Radeon Software Version - 17.1.1
Radeon Software Edition - Crimson ReLive
Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics
Memory Size - 80 MB
Memory Type - DDR4
Core Clock - 847 MHz
Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit)
System Memory - 4 GB
CPU Type - AMD A9-9420 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G

Would really appreciate some help! thanks.. <3

well I was assuming it could run it as my old 5 year old laptop could get 100fps on csgo easily

This guy... for once I agree.

Sure there are guides on how to get more fps out of laptops.

Fricken R5's they are not new. Probably have the worst drivers for it, dell refuses to update the driver version, it's stuck at 2014, while the Amd site has them updated at 2016. Check your driver version.

Go to device manager, and see what the date on your amd driver is.

You should be able to get about 40 to 50 fps on all low on 720p. It's a pretty old APU you got there, so don't expect much of it.

It's a low laptop, isn't it?

My brother gets more FPS with his R5 and it's a older model. Op what's your in game settings quality or performance, same for your video card, performance or quality. I would set the video card settings to application decides, then set in-game to resolution 1280 800 and every thing else low or medium, and no anti X.
