Why do people call Market Kitchen (Mirage B)?
It looks nothing like a kitchen, it's obviously market. However, kitchen is in apps (as you can probably notice if you go there), and people don't call that kitchen.

Why on Earth? It just makes communication difficult.

I also used to call it market, but everyone says kitchen so, just followed the wave

Callouts are just names for places so you can say where the enemy is, they don't have to make sense.

Like Astralis used to call pillar on B site Overpass "Dildo"

The difference is that they call pillar "dildo" just for laughs and it doesn't affect gameplay in any way. However, calling market "kitchen" makes communication more difficult since it's not possible to call the real kitchen "kitchen" because of that.

It's no different than the Dust2 catwalk/short NA/EU callout boondoggle that's been happening for literally 10+ years.
(In NA, the elevated walkway in mid is "short", above CT is "catwalk". In EU, this is reverse)

Establish what your team wants to call it, and call it that.

You're right, but people call it kitchen, and if you start to call it otherwise, you will confuse your team mates.
raqt Apr 9, 2018 @ 10:50am
why people call palace but they mean "apartments" <-- idk how to type that
AzKat 🐔 Apr 9, 2018 @ 10:53am
They call it a kitchen because it looks like a kitchen xD

I completely forgot what I say myself, and I'm not going to start the game just to find out.
