M4A1-S has a simpler spray patter and deals more damage, but has less bullets.
M4A4 has 30 bullets and less damage output, and the spray pattern is longer.
You need to see for yourself with what you are comfortable the most.

The A1 for accuracy training and learning how to manage bullet magazines. The A4 for normal gameplay.
