Silver Against Higher Ranks

I’m silver elite, yet i’m being ranked against Gold Nova’s and Master Guardian’s, and once i went against a DMG. I use prime and this keeps happening and i can’t even win a game. I’ve played on another account and it was silver 2, yet i keep getting matched against higher ranks. Does anyone know why this is happening? Can’t do good in a game without being destroyed by higher ranks.

If you party up with higher ranks you'll face off against higher ranks.

If a lower rank plays with a higher rank friend, the lower rank will play with higher ranks, so the other team might be doing that. Lets say a Gold Nova queued with a Master Guardian, the average would most likely be around gn1-gn3. So it is possible to get games with higher ranks.That is only part of the problem. The other part is Valve's broken matchmaking system. I got queued with silvers and I was mg2, the game makes no sense. If it keeps happening I would practice more. Maybe an aim server or something, there is no real way to avoid the broken system.

I’ve been solo queueing a lot and the other team usually has no silvers, when i play against silvers I do good, i get matched against higher ranks, then i’ve been stuck there for a week now. The only way I can practice to get better is match making, and i don’t know if i’m good or not. Casual could be an option but it’s filled with higher ranks and cheaters. Probably will just quit CS GO.

Whenever I solo queue im the only gold nova in the lobby with 9 mge's or mg2s lately. When I duo queue though the ranks are all in gold nova. My friend recently played vs smfc's and global elites as a solo queue. This only started happening within the past week or so. I'm thinking recently someone ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the matchmaking algorithm at Valve. This is prime match making as well.

They're probably trying to get all the smurfs and hackers to the higher ranks to stop them from hurting the lower ranks. It's just an idea, but hopefully this will be fixed and we'll be able to go against our actual rank.

I solo que as MG1 with prime and more often than not get matched against DMG/eagles. Either that or low novas

playing against higher ranks is only good for you

Ever since I got my 5 year coin, everything, even war games seems to be tougher.
I can only find MG and higher in LFT.
Keep getting smurfs in competitive.

how did anyone find this 3 years later
