I don't have an "addons" file in my cs:go files

I was downloading a mod from youtube and i have to make it work by putting it on the "addons" file. I really need it. did i went to the wrong file location? here is where i went "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo". I need help thank you (:

Listen like a sourcemod plugin.
For sourcemod plugins you need a dedicated server

It was the R8 revolver rework. And creating a folder won't work because it isn't originally placed in your files when you download it

creating a folder should work just fine I been doing that when modding the game or my servers from about 1998.

hmm i did the same thing but it won't work. Maybe i did something wrong in putting the files?

yes you probably did all mods I seen have instructions just follow the instructions.
and make sure it is not a server modifications you are trying to use on your client.

i'm on a mac and creating an addons folder just breaks csgo and causes it to be unable to open

I downloaded an addon from the workshop, but I can't find "addons" folder anywhere. Where can I find the downloaded addons (without starting the game)?
