CSGO Screen Tearing - Please help!
Hi,

So I've had this problem for quite a while now, wherein whenever V-sync is turned off, the screen starts glitching out completely. It makes the game unplayable (check youtube link). When I turn V-sync on, the screen tearing goes away, but I have mouse lag with V-sync on and it makes me play alot worse. I've tried playing in windowed and fullscreen windowed modes, though they take out alot of fps, and I don't have a monster pc to begin with.

If you have any suggestions, please give them to me as It's really annoying.

Of course you’re getting screen tearing.

Capping the framerate to your monitor’s refresh rate.

It should, since screen tearing is caused by going above it.

V-sync
G-sync/Freesync if you have monitor that supports them with the matching brand GPU
Lowering settings to maintain fps that matches monitor refresh rate. Refresh rates above 60hz like 120/144hz reduces chance of you noticing screen tearing even when you can't reach 120/144fps. Again 60+ is ideal.

My monitor has a max refresh rate of 59, and setting max fps to 59 does nothing

When It's on windowed there is no tearing but thing is it's a tiny window

Try it capped at 60 fps and uncapped fps to see if either makes a difference.
Try lowering the resolution when you play it fullscreen to see if that helps. (try capped and uncapped fps here too)

commands are
fps_max 60
and to uncap fps it's
fps_max 0

Set your nvidia 3D settings to default, put -freq 59 and -refresh 59 in your launch commands.

Your fps is still capped, though.
