Lower than expected fps in CSGO.
Just yesterday i joined the pc master race by building my very first computer, although it was a budget build i still wanted good fps. The processor i went with is the Ryzen 3 1300x, i chose it due to good benchmarks on csgo (170 to 200 fps) and low price. The problem is that im only getting 80 to 120 fps when in benchmarks they get 200 on the same settings (1080p high )even though they have the same processor and a worse graphics card. Any help regarding boosting fps would be greatly appreciated!

Specs-
Ryzen 3 1300x with stock cooler (Temp when in cs- 60 max)
Evga GTX1060 superclocked (temp when in cs- 65 max)
8 gb ddr4 2400
Msi b350m gaming pro
Corsair vs 550

Have you tried setting your power plan to max performance? Ryzen processors change their performance to match the power plans.
you only need 80-120 fps, dont expect to get a thousand fps just because your pc can do that, the game itself will only use so much

yes i understand that but in benchmarks posted on youtube the fps they got was around 200, i just found the performance a bit disappoining.

just because its got a worse graphics card doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥, my old 1050ti ♥♥♥♥ on my 1060ti on some games my 1080ti not so much lol, but in saying that your sure you got good ram not the cheapest 8gb of dd4 ram is much better then 16gb of dd3 or even ddr5 ram makes amazing difference back to the to the point about gpus though the could be pairing it with a great graphics card like a 1050ti that would be great with the 1300x since there would be no bottleneck at all

That is plenty of FPS for certain problems in that scenario is frame drops and by how much. If you get an average of 80 frames with low frame drop you wouldn't even notice any difference if it was running 120 average FPS.

I don't want my game to dip below 144 fps for even a split second. I'd prefer the game to stay above 300 to be smooth.
