If it doesn't work what you can try to do is going in your cfg file of cs, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\87678808\730\local\cfg you open the cfg file of course, go down to the lines where there is those
voice_mixer_volume
voice_mixer_boost
The first one is is the volume so try lower it slighly, 1=100%, so for example if you want it to be 80%=0.80
The second is a boost so if your voice isn't picked enough for your mic but it'll also take easily the sounds around, 0 is default and so 0.3 for example is either 30% boost or 30db boost I can't recall about that one
Do some changes and save them, and then look by yourself if that changed with the command voice_loopback 1 in the console in csgo ( I think it work only in matches so might start a game with bots), and also after each changes you have to restart the game.
If someone is having this issue, follow sicknature solution.
Lowering my Windows mic input volume seems to help but I'm not sure why.
The background noise is just barely audible in windows voice recorder which as far as I'm aware doesn't have any filters and it's obviously cut out completely by something like discord. It also sounds absolutely perfect in the steam voice test as well so maybe they can just have the cs guys copy whatever is going on there.
Funny story, I found the issue while playing with someone who probably has the same issue and we were both going "I can hardly understand you, your mic sounds like ♥♥♥♥".
PS: Though I doubt this is relevant, my mic is stereo.
