My microphone stays on for a few seconds after I release my push-to-talk key.
I noticed that in the past few months that I have been playing CS:GO, my microphone stays on for a few seconds (usually 1-5) after I let go of the microphone button. This is highly annoying to myself and my teammates, because people can hear sensitive or personal information in my background because of this, and it can annoy my teammates in competitive because it distracts them and makes it more difficult to hear. This happens on every microphone I have tried it on, and I cannot seem to find a fix.

It doesn't actually release seconds after, it just shows it that way on your end. It's always been like that and sometimes I worry the same thing. But, after checking with a couple of friends it just seems to be a feature that isnt really necessary

I do my best, but it still effects my teammates in competitive so it's still a problem

:)), noxiouss you should check up on your microphone's settings, or try to check on your PC? If you say you it happens with every mic you've tried, maybe it's something wrong with your PC?? And also, if you mean about the thing that pops up on the screen when you talk, it doesn't disappear instantly after releasing the button, it remains for like 3 seconds, but no one can hear anything in that time.

I just checked and i cant find them either... I saw them when i first installed csgo before the panorama update so maybe they deleted the setting... I couldnt find it under the settings in steam either... maybe they got rid of it?
